Everything's Going to be Alright

Money has been tight around these parts lately.  With all three girls going to the dentist in December, me losing some hours at work (I was called off because we didn't have many patients), Christmas, a road trip to Virginia, then a few car things here and there it's been difficult making ends meet.  I worked very hard in January to cut back my spending and even so we've just been squeezing by.

Aaron tends to stress out about it way more than I do.  I'm the laid back, free spirited one who is always saying, "It's going to be alright."  In fact, one of my favorite things to say is "In the end, it's all going to be alright.  If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Times like this force us to rely on God and His providence knowing that He loves us and is going to take care of us.  Last week was especially financially stressful for us.  Aaron was freaking out...I was trying to console him telling him my usual, "It's okay."

Then, these these four random things happened in the last 3 days:

1.  I got an unexpected raise at work of $1.20 an hour.  Doesn't sound like much when I only work 24 hours a week but that's about $100 more a month when you figure in night shift differential.

2.  We got our taxes done and we're getting a sweet check back from Uncle Sam in about two weeks.

3.  I was able to pick up three extra shifts at the inpatient hospice unit for the next schedule (and got called today to pick up another partial shift next weekend).

4.  Aaron found out his health insurance at work is changing....and we'll be paying $200 LESS a month for about the same (or better) coverage.

God never ceases to amaze me.  See Aaron...obviously, it's not the end and it really is all going to be alright.

  1. "In the end, it's all going to be alright. If it's not alright, it's not the end." - I love that. My husband is very much the same way. His favorite thing to say is, "Everything always works out for us." I have a lot to learn from you both. (And YAY for your miracles!!)
