I love music. Love, love, love it. When music is playing I can't help but sing along. Just yesterday at lunch my mother-in-law told me that I should be on one of those singing shows because I had sang along to every song that came on the radio. And last night while we were out celebrating the new year, I was singing along to an Usher song and my bewildered husband said, "How in the world to you know this song?" I just love all kinds of music. From bluegrass to rock to rap to folk. I can be content listening to pretty much anything.
Here are some songs that I will always remind me of 2011. Not necessarily songs from 2011, but songs that will remind ME of 2011:
1. "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz (mainly because of Zumba class!)
2. "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys
3. "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You" by Adele (this is the year that I developed a big girl crush on Adele)
4. "One Day" by Matisyahu
5. "Carry You" and "Bang Bang" by Dispatch (though not new these were two songs that I fell in love with this year)
6. "Lay Me Down" by Dirty Heads and Rome
7. "A Lifetime" by Ziggy Marley
8. "You Love Me Anyway" by Smalltown Poets
9. "Broken People" by KJ-52
10. "Avalanche" by Manafest
11. "Just Breath" by Pearl Jam
