Okay, so promise me no judgment on this one. If you don't drink alcohol, then click on to your next blog now. If, like me, you occasionally like to have an alcoholic drink then you will not want to miss out on this recipe. I had this at an office party a few years ago and had to get the recipe because it was so good! I'm not a big drinker but this is the one drink that I like to have every year at the holidays.
BRANDY SLUSH
Ingredients:4 tea bags
8 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 6-ounce can orange juice concentrate
1 12-ounce can lemonade concentrate
750 mL apricot or peach brandy
7-Up
Steep 4 tea bags in 2 cups of water.
Boil 1 cup of sugar in 6 cups of water for 3 minutes.
Add the can of OJ concentrate.
Add the can of lemonade concentrate.
Allow to cool.
Add brandy.
Freeze for about 24 hours,stirring occasionally.
Fill glass with 1/2 slush and add 7-Up, stir and enjoy.
**I have a large plastic pitcher that I keep this in in the freezer. An empty ice cream bucket would be even better because it freezes to slush consistency and you have to scoop it out with a spoon.
It is SO good!
