- Layla is so stinkin' cute. She's started imitating animal sounds (her pig sound is a-dorable) and is trying to repeat everything we say now. She's saying potty, tea, juice, eat, I want..., diaper, and several other new words! All of a sudden, almost overnight, she went from a vocabulary of three words to over 20 words!
- Yellow Ledbetter could quite possibly be the greatest song to come out of the grunge era. I do love me some Pearl Jam. And whoever invented Pandora is a genius.
- I've been working like crazy getting our school stuff organized for next year. I'm determined to have all the girls worksheets, history timeline figures, art papers, etc. printed ahead of time. No more, "Hold on while mommy prints this paper out." THIS is the year that I will be organized. Here's a peek into my file system. I'm happy to say that I'm almost done planning the first six weeks of school.
- Speaking of school, Annagrace will be taking her end of the year tests next week. Madalyn doesn't have to be tested yet but I may do something with her "for fun."
- My weight loss has stalled. Actually, I've gained about two pounds. I haven't been getting to the gym as much as usual and I definitely haven't been eating a clean diet. Next week I have gym classes written on my calendar Monday-Thursday nights and I'm planning to do 7 days of strict clean eating to get these two pounds back off. Hoping to lose another 5 pounds before vacation (and my birthday--which happen to coincide this year).
- I'm excited about doing some fun things with the girls this summer. I complain at times about it, but I really am thankful for a weekend job because it frees me up to do all sorts of things with my sweet girls during the week.
Looking forward to a low key, stress free July! We start back to school on August 1!
