My To Do List

Each year I come up with a list of things I'd like to do or accomplish that year.  Some of them are small things (last year I had "try asparagus" on the list) and other ones are bigger ("take a road trip to SC with the girls by myself").  This year has been no different.  I keep the list on my cell phone and when I accomplish them, I check them off the list.

Here is this year's list:

1.  Lose weight (60 pounds)
2.  Run a 5K.
3.  Run a half marathon.
4.  Get a new tattoo.
5.  Get skin checked by a dermatologist.
6.  Go to the dentist.
7.  Try sushi.
8.  Shoot a gun.
9.  Take the girls to Ocracoke.
10.  Wear a little black dress on a date with my hubby.
11.  Go on a trip with Aaron alone/
12.  Take some business classes.
13.  Learn how to knit.
14.  Grow my hair out.
15.  Eat Vegan for a week.
16.  Attempt to eat Vegan for a month.
17.  Paint and decorate our bedroom.
18.  Finish the kitchen backsplash.
19.  Go to the zoo.
20.  Teach the girls Psalm 23.
21.  Go parasailing.
22.  Take a surfing lesson.
23.  See the wild ponies at Shackleford Banks.
24.  Learn how to cook pad thai.

It's May and I have not accomplished a single thing on my list (other than losing weight...I still have a ways to go to meet my 60 pounds this year goal!).  But I have a plan for several of the items on this list.  Hoping I can update soon and say that I've done a few of these things!

  1. Yeah Yeah try some sushi! Maybe you could start with something non-fishy, like a cucumber or avocado roll, or maybe something cooked, like a california roll or a smoked salmon roll, before you dive all the way in :)

Pad Thai is easy...I just buy the sauce from the Asian market ;) Well, it doesn't taste like real pad thai that way but it sure is goooood.

  2. There will be no raw fish in my sushi. I will only try the cooked kind! LOL!
