Today's been a boring day in clean eating land.
Breakfast
Greek yogurt--at Target Cafe. I got the blueberry kind--healthy but it has a few unclean ingredients. If I had some plain Greek yogurt at home I would have pureed some frozen blueberries and added them and a little honey to it.
I also had a handful of my daughter's popcorn. And since I mentioned that let me say that I am realizing that I'm a "picker". I'll have a little of this...a little of that...and those calories are adding up. A handful of popcorn here, a few goldfish crackers there...it's something for me to work on! I'm also terrible about finishing my daughters' lunches. If there is enough to save I'll wrap it up and save it but if it's just a bite of sandwich a lot of times I eat it. Maybe I should start giving it to the dog!
Lunch
Leftover Sweet and Sour Chicken with brown rice. It was still good even as leftovers!
Snack
An apple and 2 ounces of cheddar cheese. I mentioned cheese a few days ago and since then I found a chart in a Clean Eating magazine that talks about cheese. From what I can tell, pretty much all heese is okay and clean--but stick to the low moisture/part-skim kind. Also, NEVER buy pre-shredded cheese. They add mold inhibitors and other chemicals to keep it from sticking together. Shred your own and it's much healthier and (I think) much tastier!
